Assistant Manager - Restaurant

This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your managerial skills in a fast\-paced, casual dining setting where excellence is celebrated every day. **Duties** * Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth shift transitions and optimal service delivery * Supervise and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and team management to maintain high standards of customer service and food quality * Manage food preparation processes, including cooking, food handling, and food safety compliance to meet health regulations and quality standards * Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation with accuracy and efficiency * Control inventory levels through regular stock checks, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability * Oversee kitchen management tasks including food production, catering coordination, banquet service, and managing culinary teams for diverse service types * Conduct staff interviews, training sessions, and performance evaluations to foster professional growth and ensure team competency in food safety and hospitality standards * Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for cost control and revenue enhancement while maintaining excellent customer experiences * Enforce food safety protocols including proper food handling practices, sanitation procedures, and compliance with health regulations * Lead shift management by coordinating staff schedules, managing customer concerns promptly, and ensuring efficient restaurant flow during busy hours **Qualifications** * Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations * Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience within the hospitality or food industry is highly preferred * Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing and reporting * Solid understanding of inventory control, budgeting, and profit \& loss analysis within a restaurant setting * Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively and manage teams confidently * Strong communication skills suitable for managerial roles including interviewing candidates and managing staff development * Knowledge of food safety management practices along with experience in catering, banquet service or bar operations is advantageous * Ability to handle cash accurately while maintaining high levels of customer service in a fast\-paced environment * Basic math skills for order calculations, inventory management, and financial analysis * Passionate about hospitality with a proactive attitude towards team training \& development Join us if you’re ready to lead with energy!
