At a Glance

Mabasa uses minimal essential cookies and client storage to keep your session secure and save UI preferences. Saved job bookmarks and application tracker states are stored securely in our database (DB), not unencrypted cookies.

1. Technology-Neutral Scope & Local Storage

Modern web privacy frameworks (such as the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR) regulate all methods of storing data on a user's device. Mabasa uses standard HTTP cookies, LocalStorage, and SessionStorage for functional and security purposes.

2. Storage Categories & Purpose

Strictly Necessary CookiesRequired

Essential for CSRF security protection, database authentication tokens, and maintaining secure login sessions. These cannot be disabled without breaking site access.

Functional LocalStoragePreferences

Stores UI display state, active job category filters, search view toggles, and recent search history directly in your browser.

Performance & TelemetryAnonymized

Aggregated telemetry metrics (page load times, error logs, route performance) used strictly to maintain reliability.

3. Database Storage Clarification

Please note that persistent candidate items — such as saved job bookmarks and Kanban application stages — are stored in our backend Database (DB) associated with your user session token, ensuring your saved items persist across devices.

4. Global Privacy Control (GPC) Signals

Mabasa respects browser-transmitted Global Privacy Control (GPC) and "Do Not Track" signals. When a GPC signal is detected, non-essential performance telemetry is automatically suppressed.
