Automation Design Engineer (12M, Limerick)

**AUTOMATION DESIGN ENGINEER** **/ MANAGER required for the 3D Design of manufacturing equipment for our multinational Medical Device client in Limerick.** **➡️ Initial 12 month contract, on\-site role in Limerick.** **➡️ Role will involve design and Prototype testing of Automated Equipment Technology Development.** **➡️ Understanding of FEA techniques to verify design (preferably able to use FEA software to verify design).** **NOTE:** No sponsorship is provided for this role so applicants need to already have Irish / EU citizenship OR the relevant Stamp / Visa in place. **Responsibility: Design and Prototype testing of Automated Equipment Technology Development** **Expectations:** * Provide first\-class cost\-effective design solutions for automated equipment for next generation Med Tech manufacturing equipment. * Deep working knowledge \& demonstrated capability to design automation equipment \& processes. * Generate Design concepts in 2D and 3D CAD of proposals to help drive project solutions and recommendations. * Have an understanding of FEA techniques to verify design, preferably able to use FEA software to verify design. * Formulate and recommend engineering policies and technical work in accordance with project objectives. Ensure that sound technical engineering concepts are applied. * Maintain a network and open lines of communication with other technology teams across client, ensuring awareness and alignment with key stakeholder needs and new technology developments. * Lead and develop new value propositions that employ the latest technologies to bring increased efficiencies to the manufacturing supply chain * Develop Proof of Principle (POP) activities to de\-risk proposed solutions and drive these POP activities to completion, iterating the design where needed. **Responsibility: Project Management** **Expectations:** * Provide a clear/concise Communications with both key stakeholders and Engineering Teams * Ensure customer requirements are met and that customer feedback/recommendations are sought to allow closure of successful use cases. * Manage key equipment partners and integrators for the development of automated manufacturing systems. * Establish effective working relationships and develop new partnerships to optimize product development with partners across the organization. * Establish Strong Relationships with new and potentially Key Vendors. * Support and lead where appropriate in developing the following Project Management requirements: \-Project Charters. \-Project scopes / Planning \& Defining scope / Costing Estimates. \-Schedules / Activity Planning \& Sequencing / Time Estimates. \-Report generation and project progress reporting. \-Key delivery metrics as per the stage gate process. \-Risk Analysis / Managing Risks and Issues.
