Assisted Living Facility Manager **Salary:** $48,000 annually **Job Type:** Full-Time, Salaried W-2 Position **Benefits:** 401(k), Paid Vacation, Certification Reimbursement Job Overview We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on **Assisted Living Facility Manager** to oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure quality resident care. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and experience in assisted living. The manager will report directly to the ALF Administrator, serving as the primary point of contact for staff, residents, and families while handling daily operational matters. Key Responsibilities * **Staff Management:** Create employee schedules, supervise staff, coordinate coverage, address call-outs, and ensure daily responsibilities are completed. * **Shift Coverage:** Must be available to cover shifts when necessary, including overnight, weekend, caregiving, and kitchen shifts. * **Resident Care:** Monitor resident well-being, review medication charts (MARs), verify incoming medications, and coordinate medication refills and appointments. * **Compliance:** Regularly review resident and employee binders to ensure documentation, certifications, training, and required records are complete and current. * **Kitchen Operations:** Oversee meal preparation, grocery shopping, food inventory, sanitation, and dietary requirements. Assist with kitchen duties as needed. * **Activities:** Create monthly activity calendars, coordinate recreational activities, and plan birthdays, holidays, and special events. * **Budget Management:** Monitor facility expenses, manage purchasing, track receipts, and maintain budgets for groceries, supplies, and activities. * **Facility Operations:** Ensure cleanliness, safety, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and smooth daily operations. * **Communication:** Serve as the liaison between staff, residents, families, and the Administrator, escalating significant concerns appropriately. Qualifications * **Minimum 1–2 years of assisted living or senior care experience required.** * Florida ALF Administrator Core Training Certificate and competency exam completion, or willingness to complete both within 3 months of hire, subject to state requirements. * Proficient in **Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat**. * Familiarity with Florida AHCA regulations, medication records, and resident documentation. * Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. * Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including nights and weekends when coverage is needed. * Willingness to assist with caregiving and kitchen responsibilities when appropriately trained.
