Senior Civil Engineer

Take ownership of civil engineering projects from design through to construction. TMO Consulting Engineers is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of land development and civil infrastructure projects across Western Australia. Reporting directly to the Director, you’ll work closely with clients, authorities, contractors and our engineering and design team to deliver practical, coordinated engineering solutions. Your role will include: • Leading civil design and documentation for subdivisions, earthworks, roads, drainage and services. • Managing project programmes, budgets, scope and deliverables. • Coordinating authority approvals and acting as the day-to-day technical contact for assigned projects. • Preparing quantities, cost estimates, specifications and tender documentation. • Administering construction contracts, assessing progress claims and variations, and coordinating inspections and practical completion. • Reviewing design quality and constructability, and mentoring engineers and designers. We’re looking for someone with: • A bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. • At least eight years’ relevant civil engineering design or project delivery experience. • Experience with WA subdivision, drainage, road design and authority approval processes. • A sound understanding of construction methods, estimating and contract administration. • Strong communication, commercial judgement and practical problem-solving skills. • A current Class C driver’s licence.
