Product Designer

We're a collaborative group that values clear communication, follow\-through, problem\-solving, and people who are willing to jump in and help one another. **Job Summary:** The Product Designer combines artistic skill, technical ability, and an understanding of trends to create decorative products for the home. This role develops original artwork and product designs, works directly with customers to bring their vision to life, and collaborates with internal and overseas teams throughout the sampling, revision, and approval process. This is a great fit for a creative, detail\-oriented designer who enjoys balancing artistic ideas with customer needs and product requirements. **What You'll Do:** * Create product designs that meet project requirements, customer needs, and product specifications. * Develop artwork and image designs for product applications based on customer direction and industry trends. * Maintain detailed and accurate product specifications and design information throughout the development process. * Meet directly with customers to present concepts, discuss designs, and incorporate feedback. * Communicate with overseas teams to coordinate product sampling, pricing, and design details. * Collaborate through the revision and approval process, making updates as needed until final designs are approved. * Use AI and other design tools to support creativity, explore concepts, and improve efficiency in the design process. * Pitch in on other related projects and responsibilities as needed. **What We're Looking For:** We're looking for a creative designer who can pair strong artistic instincts with attention to detail, organization, and a collaborative approach. You'll need to be comfortable moving between creative concepting, customer feedback, technical product details, and deadlines. * Strong artistic and design skills with the ability to create commercially relevant artwork and product designs. * Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator. * Familiarity with AI design tools such as Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, or similar programs is highly desirable. * Ability to understand customer needs and translate feedback, deadlines, and specifications into finished designs. * Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate product and design information. * Clear communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work directly with customers and collaborate across teams. * Strong time\-management and planning skills with the ability to complete work accurately and on schedule with minimal supervision. * Ability to work collaboratively while also managing individual responsibilities and adapting to changing priorities. * Comfort with basic math, fractions, and ruler measurements as they relate to product specifications. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. **Experience That Will Help You Succeed:** * Relevant design experience preferred; candidates at all experience levels are encouraged to apply. * A degree, major, or significant coursework in Graphic Design or a related discipline is highly preferred. * Fine art skills, including illustration, painting, or similar disciplines, are an asset. **Physical Requirements:** * Ability to work at a desk and use a computer for extended periods, approximately 7\+ hours daily. * Ability to stand for 1\-3 hours as needed and lift up to 20 pounds periodically. * Ability to travel locally and, periodically, longer distances with overnight stays for trade shows or customer meetings. * May be exposed to odors from paints and chemicals where masks may be required.
