**About The Company** Paxus is a technology recruitment and services organisation that connects skilled professionals with opportunities to make a meaningful contribution. This permanent position is with a growing technology team in a complex, technology-driven organisation. The team is continuing to develop its cloud and DevOps capabilities and is focused on creating secure, reliable and efficient ways to deliver technology. You will work alongside experienced professionals across development, infrastructure and delivery, contributing to initiatives that support the organisation’s evolving digital and technology needs. **About The Role** Paxus is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer for a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Brisbane. This hands-on role will suit someone who enjoys solving challenging technical problems, automating repeatable work and helping development teams deliver software more quickly and reliably. You will contribute to the design, operation and continuous improvement of cloud platforms and delivery processes, with a focus on Microsoft Azure and modern DevOps practices. You will collaborate with technical stakeholders to improve how applications and infrastructure are built, deployed and operated. The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful engineering improvements, influence team practices and continue developing your skills across cloud, automation and delivery technologies. **Qualifications** You will bring practical DevOps or cloud engineering experience and a collaborative approach to working with development and infrastructure teams. Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, YAML and Git or GitHub will be valuable. You should be confident developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep or comparable tools, and have experience scripting or automating tasks with PowerShell or similar technologies. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, logging and observability will also be beneficial. Experience in an Agile delivery environment is desirable. Candidates who have worked in a large, complex or highly regulated organisation will be highly regarded. A willingness to learn, communicate clearly and contribute to secure, consistent engineering practices is important. **Responsibilities** In this role, you will design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes that support dependable software releases. You will develop and manage Infrastructure as Code, help provision and configure cloud resources, and support the performance and ongoing optimisation of Microsoft Azure environments. You will work closely with developers and technical teams to improve engineering workflows, deployment practices and operational processes. You will implement and enhance monitoring, logging and observability, investigate infrastructure and environment issues, and troubleshoot complex deployment problems. You will also contribute to DevOps standards, governance and security, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and help encourage the adoption of modern cloud and DevOps practices across the organisation. **Benefits** This is a permanent opportunity to build a long-term career within an established team and contribute to meaningful technology initiatives. You will work with modern cloud, automation and DevOps technologies and have the opportunity to help shape how platforms and software are delivered. The collaborative environment supports knowledge sharing and ongoing technical development, including growth across Azure, Infrastructure as Code, automation and CI/CD.
