Director of Nursing

**Job Overview** The Director of Nursing provides strategic and operational leadership for nursing services in an educational setting. You’ll guide staff, support strong instruction and practice, and ensure programs align with applicable state education laws. This role calls for experience in education administration and a clear commitment to developing effective teams. **Responsibilities** * Lead strategic planning for nursing programs, setting priorities that support student learning and program quality. * Oversee organizational budget management, including planning, monitoring, and responsible use of resources. * Supervise and develop staff; coordinate personnel management, team management, and day-to-day operations. * Provide academic and instructional leadership, including support for teaching and consistent program standards. * Ensure nursing education activities follow relevant state-specific education laws and requirements. Your impact: By aligning staff, instruction, and resources, you help students receive consistent, high-quality nursing education. **Must have an active RN license in the state of Texas.** **Skills** * **Essential:** Leadership, management, staff supervision, team leadership, strategic planning, budgeting, and education administration. * **Essential:** Academic leadership, instructional leadership in education, teaching, and personnel management in education. * **Preferred:** School administrative director experience, school experience, or university experience. * **Preferred:** Executive leadership experience and familiarity with organizational budget management.
