Finance Specialist (Entry Level)

**About the Role** POET Technologies is seeking a Junior Finance Specialist to join our finance team. This entry\-level role is suitable for diploma holders who are starting or building their career in accounting and finance, including fresh graduates. You will support daily accounting operations and gain hands\-on exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable and month\-end closing activities. **Key Responsibilities** * Assist in accounts payable and receivable, including accurate data entry of invoices and timely processing of payments * Process and update invoices, payment records, databases and spreadsheets * Assist in processing staff claims and expense reimbursements * Assist in bank reconciliations and payables reconciliations * Support month\-end closing activities, including preparation of supporting schedules * Liaise with internal stakeholders and vendors on basic invoicing and payment queries * Maintain proper filing and documentation of finance records * Support statutory audit and tax requirements, and other ad\-hoc finance tasks as assigned **Requirements** * Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field; candidates with no prior working experience are welcome to apply, and internship or work experience in accounting or finance is an advantage * Basic understanding of accounting principles; knowledge of SFRS is a plus * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); knowledge of ERP (NetSuite) is an added advantage * Good attention to detail and organizational skills * Good communication skills, with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn * Ability to work independently and as part of a team
