Preschool Teacher

**Job Overview** As a Preschool Teacher, you’ll create a welcoming, engaging classroom where young children build foundational skills and confidence. You’ll plan age-appropriate learning experiences, support childhood development, and partner with families to help each child thrive. Your impact: Thoughtful teaching and early support help children strengthen literacy, math, social, and physical skills while giving families clear insight into their progress. **Responsibilities** * Develop curriculum and lesson plans that support early childhood education, literacy education, math, and child development instruction. * Teach preschool-aged children through hands-on activities; adapt instruction for varied learning needs, including special education and early intervention. * Provide attentive childcare and toddler care, using positive behavior management and classroom management practices. * Observe and document children’s development; use assessments, including standardized testing when appropriate, to guide instruction. * Communicate with parents and caregivers about progress, classroom experiences, and child welfare concerns; follow mandated reporting laws. **Requirements** * Experience working with children, teaching young children, and working with students; preschool, classroom, or other teaching experience is valuable. * Knowledge of early childhood education, childhood development, curriculum development, lesson planning, and preschool teaching. * Strong communication skills and the ability to support children with varied developmental and educational needs. * Familiarity with child welfare practices and applicable mandated reporting laws. * First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification preferred; experience teaching physical education and private school experience are also valued.
