Product Design & Tooling Development Engineer

**Location:** Singapore / Malaysia (Applications from both countries welcome) **Employment Type:** Full-time **About the Role** We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Product & Tooling Development Engineer to join our growing international engineering business. The role will focus on designing and developing innovative industrial components, mechanical assemblies and manufacturing tooling, taking products from initial concepts through to prototypes and commercial production. You will work closely with our management team and manufacturing partners across Asia to develop technically effective, cost-efficient and production-ready solutions. **Key Responsibilities** * Design and develop aluminium extrusion profiles and associated tooling. * Develop rubber extrusion profiles, including sealing systems, locking mechanisms and retention features. * Design injection-moulded plastic components and coordinate mould and tooling development. * Develop composite components, moulds and manufacturing solutions. * Design complete mechanical assemblies incorporating multiple materials and manufacturing processes. * Produce detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, specifications and tolerances. * Optimise designs for manufacturability, performance, reliability and production cost. * Coordinate directly with external toolmakers, suppliers and manufacturing facilities. * Manage prototyping, design modifications, product testing and production approval. * Support new product innovation and continuous product improvement. **Requirements** * Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or a related discipline. * Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical product design, tooling or manufacturing engineering. * Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo or equivalent CAD software. * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, tolerances and design for manufacture (DFM). * Practical experience with aluminium extrusion, rubber extrusion, injection moulding or related manufacturing technologies. * Experience developing products from initial design through to finished production. * Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with manufacturing partners. **Preferred Experience** * Experience designing industrial products, sealing systems, mechanical fixings, engineered assemblies, composite components or infrastructure-related products would be advantageous. **What We Offer** * Opportunity to lead the development of new engineered products. * Direct involvement in product innovation and manufacturing decisions. * Exposure to international markets and manufacturing partners. * A varied technical role covering multiple materials, products and manufacturing processes. * Opportunity to grow with an expanding international engineering business. **Location & Candidate Eligibility** * We welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates based in Singapore or Malaysia.
