Senior Accounting Manager

Our company is a leading sporting goods/water sports and toys company owning US distribution rights for 9 top brands such as Body Glove, Jet Pilot, Yamaha, Seascooters, Wham\-O, Morey Bodyboards, BZ Proboards, Churchill SwimFins, and a few other brands. We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to perform and manage core responsibilities/duties of day\-to\-day accounting work aspects and activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits. This person will manage entire accounting dept and accounting team including setup, hiring and training. Perform, oversee and manage AR/AP, variances, taxes, daily cash sheets, financial statements, financial analysis, monthly closing of accounts, general ledger and journal posting, reconciliations, budgeting, compilation and computation of commissions, bad debt collections, customers/vendors credit check in coordination with insurance companies, 401K, banking needs and bank accounts setup, company accounts setup, and preparation of documents/reports in support of the financial statements and international reporting to Group Controller. The Senior Accounting Manager will report to and work closely with the Group Controller and other key bodies in the organization in financial and accounting analysis, and in development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and controls. The ideal candidate should possess leadership capabilities, solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results.
