Job description from the source
**ASSET RELIABILITY SPECIALIST – New Mexico** Sustainability Partners (SP) invests in the modernization of infrastructure. Organizations everywhere have difficulty implementing and financing high\-impact infrastructure solutions, but Sustainability Partners has the answer. SP is solving the $4T crisis of deferred maintenance with its simple, utility\-structured solution: Infrastructure as a Service®. Like a utility, we work behind the scenes to provide new infrastructure and keep it operating at peak performance. SP is a team environment where individuals take ownership of their work and build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and investors. We are looking for practical problem\-solvers who are committed to SP's vision and mission as we scale to meet growing infrastructure needs. **JOB DESCRIPTION** Our New Mexico portfolio includes solar, EV fleets and charging, water and metering systems, and other infrastructure we own and operate for cities, counties, state agencies, schools, and other public customers. This role oversees contractor work during construction, then takes ownership of each asset's long\-term reliability. That means making sure preventive and corrective maintenance gets done on time, by the right vendors, and is documented in SP's systems. The specialist doesn't perform the maintenance. They make sure it happens, and they are SP's eyes and ears in the field. **RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE** * Serve as SP's local point of contact with customers, contractors, manufacturers, and service vendors on day\-to\-day asset needs * Monitor construction progress on NM projects: attend site meetings, verify work against approved designs and schedules, document progress with photos and reports, and flag quality, safety, or schedule issues to SP project managers * Support commissioning, punch lists, and turnover so assets move into operation with complete documentation, warranties, and O\&M manuals * Build and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for each asset, and make sure vendors complete the work on time * Respond to reported issues, assess urgency, troubleshoot within your training, and dispatch and follow up with the right vendor until the asset is back in service * Monitor assets through web and app\-based platforms (solar monitoring, telematics, metering, and charging networks) to catch problems early * Coordinate warranty and non\-warranty repairs, and review vendor invoices and work orders for accuracy before approval * Visit sites throughout New Mexico to inspect assets, document conditions, and identify additional maintenance or improvement needs * Keep asset records, maintenance history, work orders, and open items current in Smartsheet and other SP systems * Provide clear written updates to customers, vendors, and the SP team, and lead or support regular asset status meetings * Help develop local procedures for field response, vendor management, and documentation as the NM portfolio grows **QUALIFICATIONS** * 3\+ years in facilities, field service, construction coordination, fleet operations, or asset or maintenance management * Ability to read basic construction drawings and specifications, and to judge whether work is being done as designed * Strong organization, documentation, and follow\-through, with a track record of managing vendors and deadlines * Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort working directly with public\-sector customers * Technical aptitude and willingness to learn solar, EV and charging, metering, and related systems * Proficiency with Google Workspace and Smartsheet or similar tracking tools * Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regularly throughout New Mexico * Must reside in New Mexico **PREFERRED EXPERIENCE** * Solar PV, electrical, EV and charging, water or wastewater * Construction inspection, owner's representative, or project coordination work * Preventive maintenance programs, warranties, and vendor\-coordinated repairs * Experience working with municipalities, state agencies, or other public customers **Job Type:** Full\-time **Pay:** Competitive base salary **BENEFITS** * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Vision insurance **SCHEDULE** * Monday to Friday **Work Location:** New Mexico (remote, home\-based), with regular travel to customer and project sites statewide. Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Flexible spending account * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Work Location: On the road
