We use modern accounting and tax technology to deliver efficient service while maintaining personal communication and attention to each client. **About the Position** We are seeking an experienced **Senior Tax Accountant** with strong taxation and accounting knowledge and hands\-on experience in tax preparation and bookkeeping. The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, manage multiple client engagements, review financial information carefully, communicate professionally with clients, and contribute to a collaborative team environment. This is a great opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys working with **small and medium\-sized businesses**, wants exposure to a variety of tax situations, and is interested in combining **tax preparation, accounting, bookkeeping, tax planning, and client service**. The position offers flexibility outside tax season. **Key Responsibilities:** * Prepare and review individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns (Forms 1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 990 etc.) * Conduct tax planning and research to identify opportunities for minimizing tax liabilities * Review client financial records for accuracy and completeness * Handles multiple business clients’ bookkeeping and reviews the work performed by other team members. * Communicate with clients regarding tax matters, deadlines, and documentation needs * Assist in responding to IRS or state notices and represent clients when authorized * Stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and best practices **Qualifications:** **· Active CPA (Oregon Board) or Enrolled Agent (EA) or Licensed Tax Consultant (LTC)** · Must have at least two years of experience in tax preparation and bookkeeping · Knowledge of UltraTax software is a plus · Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment · Must be proficient, detail\-oriented and have organizational skills · Strong accounting skills · Strong Microsoft Excel skills · Strong accuracy and attention to detail · Strong verbal and written communication skills **Preferred Skills:** · Experience working with multiple small and medium\-sized business clients · Knowledge of payroll tax, sales tax filings, and business entity structures · Experience with tax notice resolution and IRS correspondence **Work Schedule:** * **Tax Season (Jan–Apr):** Full\-Time (in\-person) * **Off Season (May–Dec):** Full\-Time or Part\-Time (flexible schedule) **How to Apply** You can directly apply via indeed or alternatively you can submit your resume via email at leah.ennion@abtscorp.com, fax at 541\-689\-7075 or drop it off personally at 2757 River Rd.
