Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

**Position Overview** Provides direct and indirect patient care in a Med/Surg Surgical setting, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, compassion, and integrity to deliver high\-quality care that respects patient autonomy, dignity, and rights. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritizes care effectively. **Key Responsibilities** * Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition. * Administer prescribed medications safely. * Provide age\-appropriate care and support basic self\-care activities. * Develop and evaluate patient and family teaching plans. * Utilize nursing knowledge to perform treatments and procedures. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in care delivery. * Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical skills. * Address psychosocial needs and communicate with social services for discharge planning. * Practice cost\-effective resource management. * Prioritize patient safety and minimize risks. * Commit to lifelong learning in nursing. **Qualifications \& Skills** * Graduate of an accredited nursing program. * Computer literacy. * RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. * Preferred certifications include ACLS/PALS.
