Staff Accountant

**STAFF ACCOUNTANT** **SOUTH CAROLINA REGIONAL HOUSING AUTHORITY NO. 3** South Carolina Regional Housing Authority No. 3 (SCRHA3) is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented **Staff Accountant** to join our Accounting Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to contribute to meaningful, community‑focused work while building a solid foundation in governmental and HUD‑regulated accounting. This position is ideal for someone who can manage high-volume accounts payable and accounts receivable work with accuracy, strong follow-through and sound judgment while providing essential support to the Director of Finance and Senior Accountant. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits. **DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:** · Review, code, and process vendor invoices and statements for payment · Record and deposit daily cash receipts and other incoming funds to ledger accounts · Provide support to accounting staff with annual audits, analysis, and special projects · Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor **QUALIFICATIONS** A degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent training/experience · Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in general accounting or governmental/non-profit accounting · Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and accounting software · Required knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) · Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills · Ability to manage multiple tasks, high transaction volumes and meet deadlines · Ability to work independently and as part of a team · Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information **HOW TO APPLY** To be considered, applicants must submit a current resume *South Carolina Regional Housing Authority No. 3 is an Equal Opportunity Employer* Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
