This role involves designing, building, and maintaining core cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as a senior\-level remote engineer. **Job title** Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer **Company** MeeBoss **Location** Fully Remote **Compensation** $165,000 \- $170,000 per annum **Why this role** * Opportunity to serve as the go\-to expert for GCP foundational services, ensuring platform scalability, security, and reliability. **What you will do** * Design and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud. * Manage core GCP services, including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), subnets, firewalls, and routing tables. * Configure and maintain GCP storage solutions such as Cloud Storage, Filestore, and Persistent Disk. * Oversee identity and access management (IAM) to ensure the principle of least privilege is applied. * Manage and operate cloud\-native database services such as Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, and Bigtable, including performance tuning and high\-availability configuration. * Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure costs. * Manage container orchestration platforms such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). * Collaborate with development teams to ensure their applications have the necessary infrastructure resources. * Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager. **What we are looking for** * Proven experience as a Platform, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineer. * 8\+ years of working with Cloud technologies. * 5\+ years of experience working directly with applications or resources in Google Cloud. * Deep, hands\-on experience with foundational GCP services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and VPC. * Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and VPNs within a cloud environment. * Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform). * Experience with scripting tools such as Bash and Python. * Experience with Git, GitLab, Jenkins, or Harness. * Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements. * Existing DHS/CBP or TS clearance is a plus. * USC Citizen required. **Benefits** * GCP certification (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect) is a plus. **About MeeBoss** MeeBoss helps job seekers and hiring teams make direct, relevant career connections.
