This role requires you to have an **ACTIVE SECRET** clearance to start. \*This will be an **ON-SITE role** with expected travel up to 10% throughout the year.\* **JOB DUTIES:** * The candidate shall perform software engineering design and development activities to produce reliable, modular, and secure software components. * The work will include development of software on a RHEL OS platform. * This will include software development with custom C++ based applications, X windows-based applications, and web-based middleware. * Development will consist of application writing and policy for security accreditations. **Qualifications** **REQUIREMENTS**: Education and Experience: * Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience * **Linux (RHEL) familiarity.** * Front-end technology experience: JavaScript, React, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React Js, Angular, jQuery and LESS. * **Strong Web experience.** * Industry experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale systems in production. * Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in Linux. * Familiarity with DBMS technology, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL. * Basic design ability: Including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design. * Excellent understanding of low-level operating systems concepts including multi-threading, memory management, networking and storage, performance, and scale. * Ability to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it. Clearance: * Must be a U.S. Citizen * Must have an **Active Secret** Clearance to start * Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance after start **DESIRED SKILLS:** * Experience with C++. * Strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems. Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
