* **Dispensing Medications:** Fill prescription orders accurately according to doctor instructions. * **Safety & Interaction Checks:** Review patient profiles for dangerous drug interactions, duplicate therapies, improper dosages, and allergies. * **Patient Counseling:** Explain how to take prescribed drugs, potential side effects, and proper storage. * **Over-the-Counter (OTC) Advice:** Recommend non-prescription products and refer customers to doctors when necessary. * **Staff Supervision:** Manage and oversee pharmacy technicians and cashiers. * **Inventory Control:** Order and stock prescription medications, OTC products, and supplies. * **Insurance Handling:** Process insurance claims, resolve billing rejections, and communicate with prescribers. * **Compliance:** Follow federal and state laws regarding controlled substances and pharmacy operations.
