Cloud and DevOps Engineer - NV1 Cleared

Cloud \& DevOps Engineer \- NV1 Required **Contract Duration:** 3 Months (with potential extension) **Location:** Primarily Melbourne (Hybrid) / open to Canberra and Adelaide based candidates About the Role We are seeking a Cloud \& DevOps Engineer for a **3\-month contract (with potential extension)** . * **Melbourne Candidates:** Hybrid model (3 days/week on\-site). * **Other Locations:** Remote work allowed, with occasional visits to a local office as required. * **On\-Call:** Roster\-based rotation (approximately once every 4 to 5 weeks). Key Responsibilities * **Cloud Infrastructure Management:** Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, S3\). * **DevOps \& Automation:** Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and Packer to automate releases and infrastructure provisioning. * **Monitoring \& Maintenance:** Implement and maintain Elastic Stack (ELK) monitoring solutions to ensure optimal system performance and reliability. * **Containerization:** Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift. * **Scripting \& Linux Admin:** Perform Linux (RHEL) server\-side administration and write automation scripts using Bash or Python. * **Application Support:** Work with PHP\-based application environments. * **Security \& Compliance:** Enforce IAM, network security, data protection, and compliance best practices across cloud environments. * **Support \& Documentation:** Provide advanced troubleshooting for production issues and maintain detailed infrastructure documentation. Key Requirements \& Qualifications * **Clearance:** Must hold an **Active NV1 Clearance** . * **Experience:** Junior to Intermediate level (Minimum 5 years in Cloud \& DevOps roles, with strong hands\-on AWS experience). * **Tech Stack:** + **Cloud:** AWS (EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, S3\) + **DevOps/IaC:** Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Packer + **Containers:** Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift + **OS \& Scripting:** Linux (RHEL), Bash, Python + **Monitoring:** Elastic Stack (ELK) + **App Stack:** Experience with PHP environments * **Education \& Certifications:** Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or a related field.
