Senior Software Engineer

**Senior Software Engineer is needed to perform the following duties:** o Requirements analysis and technical planning · Analyze business objectives, user workflows, security requirements, and system constraints; translate functional and nonfunctional requirements into software specifications, implementation plans, acceptance criteria, and technical design documents. o Application and API architecture · Design modular, secure, and maintainable multi-tier applications and distributed service architectures using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core; define service boundaries, integration contracts, data flows, and approaches to scalability and resilience. o Backend software development · Develop, enhance, and maintain RESTful APIs, backend application components, and reusable business services; implement request validation, exception handling, dependency injection, asynchronous operations, and structured application logging. o Identity and application security · Design and implement authentication, federation, and authorization capabilities using applicable standards such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0, and JWT; apply role- or scope-based access controls, secure session handling, and protection of sensitive information. o Enterprise systems integration · Develop software interfaces connecting internal applications, identity platforms, partner systems, and external services; define API contracts, transform and validate exchanged information, and ensure dependable communication across system boundaries. o Event-driven processing · Design and implement asynchronous workflows using message brokers such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ; develop producers, consumers, and background processing services with appropriate error handling, retry controls, idempotency, and message-processing observability. o Database design and data access · Design and maintain relational and document-oriented data models using technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB; develop efficient queries, persistence components, indexing strategies, and controlled data migration or synchronization routines. o Web interface integration · Develop or integrate web application features using React, TypeScript, or Angular, where applicable; connect user interfaces with secured backend services and support reusable application components and consistent client-side validation. o Cloud-native application deployment · Package and configure services for cloud or container-based environments using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, and applicable AWS services; define configuration, health checks, and deployment practices suitable for the target environment. o Continuous integration and delivery · Develop and maintain automated build, test, quality-check, and deployment workflows using Git-based CI/CD pipelines; review build results, manage environment-specific configurations, and support controlled software releases and rollback procedures. o Reliability and performance engineering · Assess application performance, capacity, and service dependencies; improve response times, resource utilization, failure handling, timeout and retry behavior, and overall reliability based on measured system behavior. o Monitoring and production troubleshooting · Implement diagnostic logging, metrics, and distributed tracing for application services; investigate software defects, integration failures, and production incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures. o Software quality and validation · Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and API tests; perform code reviews, validate software against acceptance criteria, and support regression testing, security remediation, and user acceptance activities. o AI-enabled service development, when in scope · Design and integrate enterprise knowledge-retrieval or AI-assisted application features using Python, FastAPI, and retrieval-augmented generation techniques; implement document processing, semantic retrieval, secure model-service integration, and output validation when assigned to such systems. o Technical documentation and coordination · Prepare architecture diagrams, design specifications, interface definitions, implementation notes, and release documentation; coordinate with product owners, architects, security specialists, quality engineers, and operations teams to resolve technical issues and delivery dependencies. o Software modernization and technical guidance · Evaluate existing software components and recommend maintainability, security, and performance improvements; develop reusable patterns, support modernization of legacy integrations, and provide technical guidance during design discussions and code reviews. **Bachelor's Degree is required in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Information Systems or Information Systems** Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Work Location: Remote
