Job description from the source
**About The Role** The role owns end-to-end UX design for core product surfaces — from early discovery and flows through high-fidelity UI, interactive prototypes, and shipped experiences used by hundreds of thousands of users. Working in a hybrid studio in New York, the designer sits directly with product managers and engineers, translating complex workflows into interfaces that are intuitive, accessible, and measurable. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead end-to-end design for major product initiatives — journey mapping, information architecture, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI in Figma * Conduct generative and evaluative user research: moderated interviews, usability tests, diary studies, and field studies with real users * Build interactive prototypes in Figma or ProtoPie to validate concepts before a single line of production code is written * Partner with product managers and engineers to scope solutions, negotiate tradeoffs, and ensure design intent survives implementation * Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data — session recordings, funnel analytics, survey results — into clear, actionable design recommendations * Contribute to and evolve the design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), and reusability across products * Present design rationale to leadership and stakeholders with clear narrative, evidence, and measurable success criteria **What We Are Looking For** * 3–6 years of UX design experience shipping digital products, with a portfolio demonstrating process, craft, and measurable outcomes * Expert proficiency in Figma, including auto layout, variables, and component-driven design systems * Hands-on experience planning and running user research: recruiting, moderating, synthesizing, and reporting findings * Strong grounding in interaction design principles, accessibility standards, and responsive web and mobile patterns * Experience collaborating in agile environments with embedded engineering teams * Bachelor's degree in HCI, Design, Psychology, or related field — or equivalent practical experience * Bonus: motion design skills (After Effects, Principle), front-end literacy (HTML/CSS basics), or experience with design ops tooling
