Accountant

**Key Responsibilities** * Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including bank transactions, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP) and reconciliations. * Maintain full sets of accounts for assigned entities, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, accruals and month-end closing. * Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management review. * Ensure accounting transactions are recorded accurately and promptly. * Prepare GST returns. * Liaise with external auditors and tax agents on audit and tax matters. * Assist with statutory compliance and year-end audit requirements. * Support improvements to accounting processes and internal controls. * Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned. **Requirements** * Diploma or degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline. * At least five years of relevant accounting experience. * Experience in shipping, maritime or commodity trading is an advantage. * Ability to handle full sets of accounts with minimal supervision. * Basic knowledge of Singapore GST. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Xero accounting software.
