Maintenance Technician

DS Jordan Construction is seeking an experienced, dependable Maintenance Technician to perform a wide variety of maintenance, repair, and light construction services at commercial facilities and project locations. The ideal candidate is a skilled, hands\-on professional who is comfortable troubleshooting problems, completing repairs independently, and delivering clean, professional finished work. This position requires experience across multiple trades and the ability to assess a problem, determine the appropriate repair, and complete the work safely and efficiently. Candidates must be willing to work evenings, nights and occasional weekends to meet our client's needs. **What We're Looking For** We are looking for more than someone who can simply complete a work order. The right candidate is a **true problem solver and multi\-skilled technician** who can arrive at a location, evaluate the issue, determine what is needed, and complete a professional repair. Our Maintenance Technicians are expected to represent DS Jordan Construction professionally, communicate clearly with clients and project managers, maintain clean work areas, protect the client's property, and leave each repair looking complete and finished. Key Responsibilities The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and installation work including: DRYWALL, FINISHING \& PAINTING * Drywall installation, patching and repair * Tape, mud, sanding and finishing * Wall and ceiling repairs * Texture matching and touch\-ups * Interior and exterior painting * Surface preparation, patching and sanding * Color matching and touch\-up painting * Caulking and finish work CARPENTRY * General rough and finish carpentry * Door, frame, trim and molding repairs * Cabinet and shelving repairs * Hardware installation and adjustment * Minor framing and wood repairs TILE \& FLOORING REPAIRS * Removal and replacement of damaged tile * Grout and caulk repairs * Minor flooring repairs * Baseboard and transition repairs ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING, REPAIRS \& LIGHTING * Troubleshoot basic electrical issues * Replace switches, receptacles, covers and similar components * Identify electrical problems requiring a licensed electrician * Perform repairs within the technician's permitted scope of work * Replace and repair light fixtures * Replace lamps, LED components and drivers * Troubleshoot lighting problems * Replace emergency and exit lighting components * Assist with signage and display lighting repairs HVAC TROUBLESHOOTING \& REPAIRS * Perform basic HVAC troubleshooting * Replace filters * Inspect thermostats and identify operational issues * Perform basic preventive maintenance GENERAL HANDYMAN \& FACILITIES REPAIRS * Install and repair locks, hinges, handles and door hardware * Assemble and install fixtures, furniture and equipment * Repair displays, shelving and cabinetry * Mount televisions, signs, shelving and accessories * Complete punch\-list and preventative maintenance items * Diagnose miscellaneous facility maintenance problems * Troubleshoot minor plumbing issues * Replace faucets and fixtures * Repair minor leaks QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum **3–5 years of experience** in commercial maintenance, construction, facilities maintenance, handyman services, or a related field preferred * Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools and ladders * Ability to read basic plans, measurements and manufacturer instructions * Strong troubleshooting and problem\-solving abilities * Ability to work independently with limited supervision * Ability to accurately document completed work and materials used * Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship * Professional appearance and communication skills * Dependable and punctual * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation * Ability to travel between job locations as needed * Ability to pass any required background screening * Comfortable working in active commercial environment Pay: $25\.00 \- $30\.00 per hour Expected hours: 30\.0 – 45\.0 per week Language: * English (Required) Shift availability: * Night Shift (Required) Ability to Commute: * Miami\-Dade County, FL (Required) Work Location: In person
