**JOB DESRIPTION FOR Pastor** **Title:** Director **Program**: church open 24/7 **Classification**: 100% **Reports to**: Founding Pastor **Function of Work**: Under the general direction of the founder provides for the day to day administration, program development and ability to preach **Educational Requirements**: Bachelor’s degree preferred **Experience**: experience in serving the sub-populations typical of rural homeless adults **Personal Characteristics**:  Exhibit a strong faith in Jesus Christ with an active participation in a local church  Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a culturally diverse population of clients, other care providers, family and community members Have a calling from God to minister to the homeless  Organized and detail oriented with a strong work ethic  Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team  Ability to work as an effective change agent  Ability to function under pressure  Ability to be flexible, open and responsive to crisis management **Required Skills**:  Be able to relate well to clients and donors  Be able to speak to public groups with passion as an advocate for the homeless and as a Believer  Ability to implement and utilize limit setting techniques and appropriate boundaries  Strong interpersonal and management skills  Proficient computer skills  Ability to work independently and relate to all levels of the organization  Excellent communication skills, conflict resolution skills, supervision skills  Strong leadership and problem-solving skills  Written and verbal skills  Supervisory and management experience preferred **GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:** **Supervision**:  Supervision of clients **Administrative Responsibilities:** **Program Responsibilities**:  Oversee entire operation of a church and homeless shelter  Develop and maintain Program specific rules  Manage the referral system for guests who need specific treatment or services  Provide case management for individuals  Develop interviewing, assessment, crisis intervention, long and short-term goal setting, problem solving, and behavioral management skills for guests  Provide Faith-based guidance and mediation, as needed  Develop and maintain policies and procedures  Participate in all board required functions for program director  Develop new programming  Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures  Ensure proper maintenance of the physical site  Maintain accurate programmatic documentation  Maintain inventories of basic groceries and supplies needed  Interact with other agencies and the public  Monthly reporting for the Founding Pastor  Implement all program safety procedures  Interview and hire staff as needed  Train and supervise volunteers  On call 24 hours a day for emergencies/staff support and guidance **Physical Requirements**: The requirements described here are representative of what must be done to successfully perform the essential job functions.
