Building Substitute

Responsibilities: \- Provide substitute coverage for classroom teachers in various subjects and grade levels \- Follow lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the absent teacher \- Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment for students \- Support students in their academic and social\-emotional development \- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with autism or special education needs \- Implement effective behavior management techniques \- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure continuity of instruction Qualifications: \- Bachelor's degree in childhood development, education, or a related field preferred \- Experience working with children in a classroom or tutoring setting \- Knowledge of math, literacy education, and other subject areas relevant to the grade levels being substituted for \- Familiarity with special education practices and strategies for supporting students with autism or other special needs \- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members \- Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and follow instructions from different teachers \- Flexibility in scheduling and availability to be called in as needed Note: This position is on an as\-needed basis, so availability may vary.
