Mechanical Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Company: BS&B Limerick Location: Limerick, Ireland Reports To: Engineering Manager **The role:** Be part of a team responsible for design and / or development of new pressure safety management relief products, to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement solutions for our customers. You will be responsible for the project management and timely delivery of projects assigned Carry out detailed design of product and necessary tooling utilising AutoCAD, Inventor and preferably FEA software including but not limited to: * Co-ordination and liaison with internal and external stakeholders, in a multi-disciplinary environment, providing technical guidance. * Provide technical information & assistance to sales staff. * Review & respond to incoming sales enquiries for new or modified designs. Review of technical specification, application, configuration & design. * Assist the extended engineering teams in developing & implementing new techniques, procedures & processes to improve site productivity & efficiency. * Liaise with the site operations team & external third-party approval bodies to maintain and develop product certifications. **Requirements:** * 3+ Years’ experience in a manufacturing / engineering / product development environment. * Hons. Degree in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. * High level of computer literacy essential. * Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and 3D CAD (Inventor, SolidWorks or equivalent). * Hands on mechanical aptitude & experience, in particular experience with processing methods for metals. * Proficient in use of machine shop equipment for manufacture of tooling and prototype parts including the use of 3D printing. * Track record of project completion. * Experience in development environment an advantage.
