Core Lending Application Engineer – Fiserv Loan Director / Velocity **Location:** Hauppauge, NY – Onsite **Experience:** 8–10 Years **Employment:** Full\-Time / Contract **Client:** Direct Client Job Description We are seeking an experienced **Core Lending Application Engineer** to join our IT Core Lending team in Hauppauge, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong application development background with experience in banking or lending platforms. This position will focus on application development, system integration, automation, troubleshooting, and performance improvements supporting **Fiserv Loan Director / Velocity** and related lending technologies. Key Responsibilities * Develop, maintain, and enhance business capabilities within **Fiserv Loan Director / Velocity**. * Design and implement automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and application performance. * Develop and support integrations using **APIs, REST, SOAP, and web services**. * Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective automation solutions. * Troubleshoot application, integration, and performance issues. * Work closely with technical teams, application owners, and business stakeholders. * Support lending and core banking applications in a production environment. Required Qualifications * **8–10 years** of application development or software engineering experience. * Strong programming experience with **Java, Python, JavaScript, and Linux Shell scripting**. * Hands\-on experience with **REST APIs, SOAP, web services, and system integrations**. * Strong SQL skills with **Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle**. * Experience working with **NoSQL databases**. * Experience developing or supporting **Power BI dashboards**. * Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem\-solving skills. * Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with **Fiserv Loan Director / Velocity**. * Knowledge of **core banking and lending systems**. * Experience with **Temenos Collections**. * Knowledge or experience with **Fiserv DNA**. * Previous experience supporting applications within the **banking or financial services industry**.
