Staff Accountant

The successful candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced environment, communicate professionally, and have a solid comprehension of basic accounting principles and of accounts payable. Responsibilities Include: * Assist with month-end and year-end processes * Produce and process journal entries * Reconcile general ledger and bank statements * Prepare audit schedules and assist with audits of expense reports and vendor invoices * Assess fixed asset additions and disposal reports evaluating gain/loss outcome Qualifications Include: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field * 3+ years of experience in Accounting + Law firm or professional services experience preferred * Professional communication skills * Strong attention to detail * Advanced MS Excel Compensation: * $77,000 - $96,000 annually DOE **Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area and available to start immediately.** *The Ford Agency is a recruiting firm based in Washington, DC.
