Lead Toddler Teacher/ Teacher Hours

**Job Summary** We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant Montessori education team. In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curriculum tailored to toddlers’ developmental needs, and foster a nurturing environment where young children can thrive. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the foundational years of young learners while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. **Duties** * Design and implement dynamic lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, focusing on early childhood education standards. * Lead daily classroom activities that promote social skills, literacy education, math concepts, and physical development tailored for toddlers. * Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies to create a respectful and engaging learning environment. * Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address concerns effectively. * Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and staff to ensure consistent delivery of quality childcare and preschool teaching practices. * Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications. * Conduct ongoing assessments of child development using standardized testing methods to tailor instruction and support individual needs. * Collaborate with specialists in special education or early intervention when necessary to support children with diverse learning needs. * Maintain detailed records of classroom activities, student progress, incident reports, and lesson plans aligned with childhood development goals. **Qualifications** * Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, especially with toddlers. Montessori experience not required but is a plus. * Strong background in early childhood education principles including child development instruction, behavior management, and classroom management techniques. * Knowledge of curriculum development for early learners encompassing literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social\-emotional learning. * Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable. * Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration. * Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; ongoing professional development in childhood welfare preferred. * Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. * Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing methods when appropriate for assessment purposes. * Demonstrated ability to foster a positive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and respect among young children.
