This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the success of our veterinary hospital while supporting the well-being of our team and clients. **Responsibilities** * Manage all aspects of hospital operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality patient care. * Oversee medical office management tasks such as electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), medical billing, and medical records documentation to maintain accuracy and compliance. * Supervise healthcare staff including veterinary nurses, administrative personnel, and support staff; provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to foster professional growth. * Ensure adherence to health regulation policies, maintaining a compliant environment for staff and clients alike. * Oversee fiscal management activities including budgeting, financial reporting, and managing practice expenses to optimize profitability. * Utilize practice management software for patient management, appointment scheduling, billing, and reporting functions. * Lead efforts in customer service excellence by addressing client concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming hospital atmosphere. * Coordinate with human resources on staffing needs, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws related to healthcare practice management. * Maintain a safe environment by implementing safety protocols for acute care settings and hospital operations. **Skills** * Proven experience in medical office management within a veterinary or healthcare setting with strong supervisory skills. * Extensive knowledge of healthcare management systems such as EMR/EHR systems, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is essential. * Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical billing procedures, and medical administrative support functions. * Ability to manage budgets effectively while ensuring compliance with health regulation policies such as HIPAA and JCAHO standards. * Excellent managerial communication skills coupled with customer service expertise to lead teams successfully in a fast-paced environment. * Demonstrated ability to oversee healthcare staff management including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and team development. * Knowledge of managed care practices, utilization management, and healthcare practice regulations to ensure operational excellence.
