The individual should enjoy working in a fast\-paced, team\-oriented environment and possess the communication skills necessary to coordinate with staff and other design disciplines. This person will work with staff on various transportation improvement projects including interstate/interchanges, roadway widening, bridge replacements, and new location projects. Duties: * Collecting and analyzing project data * Leading or assisting in the design and development of roadway plans, specifications, design calculations, and technical documents * Calculating quantities and developing cost estimates * Producing a complete plan set * Working with other design disciplines * Excellent problem\-solving and critical thinking skills * Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Minimum Qualifications: * BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited curriculum * Professional Engineer (PE) license * 8\+ years’ experience in the field of civil engineering specializing in roadway design for NCDOT and local municipalities * Proficiency with AASHTO and NCDOT roadway design guidelines, standards and specifications * Proficiency using OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, and GEOPAK/Corridor Modeling * NCDOT highway design experience * Project management experience with NCDOT projects Benefits package includes: * Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance with low premiums * 401(k) * HSA with generous company contribution * Company paid short\-term disability * Company paid long\-term disability * Company paid life insurance * Vacation leave * Sick leave * Holidays *Established in 2013, Parrish \& Partners is a recognized SC Best Place to Work and NC Best Employer.
