AI Project Developer / Manager

**Position Overview** We are seeking an AI Development Manager with strong hands-on software development capabilities to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications while leading AI projects from concept to production. The ideal candidate is both a capable AI developer and an effective project leader, with practical experience building AI applications using large language models (LLMs), generative AI (AIGC), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, or other machine learning technologies. This is a technical, hands-on role, not a purely project management position. The successful candidate is expected to actively participate in AI application development, build and validate prototypes, solve technical problems, and guide projects through successful deployment. **Key Responsibilities** **1. AI Application Development** - Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered applications and software solutions. - Write and maintain code, build proof-of-concept (PoC) prototypes, and transform business requirements into working AI applications. - Integrate LLMs, APIs, RAG pipelines, vector databases, AI agents, and other AI technologies into practical solutions. - Evaluate AI models and application performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and continuously improve functionality, accuracy, reliability, and efficiency. **2. Technical Leadership** - Lead AI development projects from technical design and architecture through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. - Make technical decisions regarding frameworks, models, system architecture, and implementation approaches. - Review code, establish development standards, and guide other developers when needed. - Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to apply them to real-world business problems. **3. AI Project Management** - Define project scope, technical requirements, milestones, deliverables, and implementation plans. - Monitor project progress, manage resources and risks, and ensure timely delivery within agreed budgets and quality standards. - Coordinate developers, product teams, QA, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration. **4. Client Solutions and Delivery** - Communicate with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Prepare technical proposals, solution designs, demonstrations, and bid documents. - Present prototypes and project results, manage requirement changes, and oversee testing, acceptance, and final delivery. **5. Continuous Improvement** - Document technical solutions, development processes, and project outcomes. - Improve AI development workflows, software engineering practices, and the efficiency of AI-assisted development. **Qualifications** - Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field. - At least 3 years of hands-on software development experience, including at least 1 year of practical AI application development experience. - Demonstrated ability to independently develop and implement AI-powered applications, from proof of concept to functional deployment. - Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for AI application development, such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript. - Practical experience with one or more of the following: LLM application development, RAG, prompt engineering, AI agents, model fine-tuning, multimodal AI, vector databases, or AI API integration. - Experience with software development fundamentals, including APIs, databases, debugging, testing, version control, and deployment. - Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and deliver working software solutions. - Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and client-facing skills. - Ability to manage multiple development projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams. **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience leading AI development projects from requirements analysis through production deployment. - Experience building enterprise AI applications, AI platforms, or customized AI solutions for clients. - Familiarity with cloud services, containerization, CI/CD, and production monitoring. - Experience with Agile development and project management tools such as Jira. - Experience preparing technical proposals, responding to RFPs, and supporting bidding processes. - PMP certification or other project management credentials. - Experience using AI coding assistants and AI-driven software development workflows. **What We Value** We value candidates who can build, not just manage.
