Job description from the source

5 - 12 years of experience of native iOS development Hands- on native iOS development experience in **Swift and UIKit** (active in current or most recent role) Has been the sole or lead iOS engineer on a shipped production app. This one stays a must- have because solo ownership is the job: he said he doesn’t have time for babysitting. Startup experience at early- stage companies (seed - series B) Experience **connecting iOS applications to hardware** (Bluetooth, Wi- Fi, camera, or media) **What you'll do** * Build and ship client's iOS capture app in native Swift and UIKit. Capture specialists use it at construction sites nationwide, and it feeds about 120M images a month into our computer vision and AI stack. * Take full ownership of the iOS app as our only iOS engineer. You'll replace an offshore contractor and drive the app from roughly 30% of what we want it to be toward the full vision. * Work closely with the backend team and the CEO on REST APIs, data sync and release timing, so mobile and backend changes ship together. * Build and harden the connections between the app and 360° cameras (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, hardware-software handshakes) to make capture and uploads from the field reliable. * Lead new features from start to finish: understand what capture specialists see on site, break the problem down, design the experience, build it and release it. * Find and fix weak spots in the capture flow, upload reliability and user experience, so field data reaches the platform faster and more completely.
