Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Johnson and Spezia PLLC is a bankruptcy firm representing individual and business debtors in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. We file across Chapters 7, 11, 12, and 13 and take selective creditor\-side work. We're a small team of two partners and experienced paralegals, which means you'll handle real cases, and work directly with the partners. **What you'll do** * Prepare Chapter 7 and 13 petitions for review for the partners * Assist in pre and post filing matters * Work closely with the clients to gather, organize and prepare their documents **What we're looking for** * Experience is a plus, but not required (willing to train) * Comfortable with clients who are under financial stress * Organized, fast, and accurate with deadlines **Preferred but not required** * Experience with BestCase and Clio * Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 experience * Microsoft Suite Proficient (Word, Excel) * Adobe Proficient Benefits: * Paid time off, paid holidays Job Type: Full\-time Pay: $21\.63 \- $29\.00 per hour Benefits: * Paid time off Work Location: In person
