Learning Specialist

**JOB OPPORTUNITY: LEARNING SPECIALIST** Martin J. Gottlieb Day School is seeking a dedicated Learning Specialist to join our team in supporting our exceptional students. Situated on a 35\-acre campus in Jacksonville's Mandarin neighborhood, our school is founded on principles of respect and kindness, the cornerstones of our dual secular and Jewish studies programs. Join us on this journey! **Essential Functions** * Provide specialized support and interventions to students with diverse learning needs. * Develop individualized learning support plans and accommodations based on assessment results and evaluation reports. * Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to promote growth. * Enhance or extend classroom lessons for students needing enrichment or additional support. * Support students directly through one\-to\-one, small\-group, or push\-in instruction across both general and Judaic studies classrooms. Knowledge of Hebrew is not required. * Maintain accurate and complete student records. * Collect, organize, interpret, and share assessment data. * Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student progress and achievement. * Partner with the school\-based social worker to advocate for students' needs. * Stay current on best practices, and provide professional development and resources to faculty as needed. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in education or a related field required; Master's degree in Exceptional Student Education or a related field preferred * At least 3 years of experience providing targeted academic intervention * Training in evidence\-based approaches such as structured literacy (e.g., Orton\-Gillingham, Wilson) or math intervention preferred * Familiarity with the legal responsibilities of independent schools related to educational service plans and accommodations preferred * A genuine passion for teaching students of all abilities * Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of student information * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Strong organizational skills * Proficiency with educational technology and data systems **General Expectations** * Welcome regular feedback, engage in professional growth, and make meaningful contributions to the school community * Actively support the school's mission * Communicate and collaborate effectively with all school personnel, families, and the broader educational community * Engage in reflective, self\-directed professional development * Perform additional duties as assigned To apply, please submit your resume, cover letter, and any relevant certifications to office@dubowgottlieb.org.
