Senior Accountant

**Job Summary** We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will lead complex accounting functions, ensure financial accuracy, and maintain compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal controls. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and collaborate across departments to deliver precise financial insights. **Responsibilities** * Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and month-end closing procedures * Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, accounts payable automation, and vendor payments * Prepare and analyze financial statements using Excel data analysis techniques such as formulas and VLOOKUP functions * Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and internal audit requirements * Utilize financial software such as Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or UltiPro for data entry and reporting * Conduct detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly * Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems like ADP, Kronos, Ceridian, or HRIS platforms for payroll and HR data management * Assist in financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and forecasting efforts * Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while adhering to data security protocols **Experience** * Proven accounting and finance experience with a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles * Prior experience working in public accounting or corporate finance environments preferred * Demonstrated proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms * Strong knowledge of GAAP standards and financial compliance requirements * Experience with Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting; familiarity with formulas and functions like VLOOKUP essential * Ability to handle high-volume data entry tasks accurately while managing multiple priorities * Excellent analysis skills with a keen eye for detail in account reconciliation and journal entries Join us to be part of a forward-thinking organization that values precision, integrity, and continuous improvement.
