Accountant/Bookkeeper

**Job Overview** As an Accountant/Bookkeeper, you’ll keep financial records accurate, organized, and ready to support sound business decisions. You’ll manage day-to-day accounting activities, maintain ledgers, and help ensure transactions are recorded in line with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Your work will support colleagues and customers who rely on clear, timely financial information. **Responsibilities** * Record transactions, prepare journal entries, and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. * Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies. * Support budgeting, account analysis, credit analysis, and financial reporting using spreadsheets and Excel data analysis. * Maintain accounting systems and financial software; perform accurate data entry and handle confidential information carefully. * Your impact: Accurate, timely records help teams make informed decisions and ensure vendors and customers receive dependable account support. * Help process payroll. **Requirements** * Accounting and finance experience, bookkeeping knowledge, numeracy, math skills, and understanding of financial concepts, debits and credits, and double-entry bookkeeping. * Experience with accounting software or systems such as QuickBooks, Workday, PeopleSoft, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian. * Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially spreadsheets; customer service skills and strong financial acumen. * Knowledge of corporate, public, or governmental accounting, technical accounting, or Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls is valuable; not all areas are required.
