Bar Supervisor

Job Description Safari Room Fresh Grill and Bar is seeking a responsible and enthusiastic Bar Supervisor to oversee daily bar activities and ensure guests receive excellent service. The successful candidate will supervise bar staff, maintain beverage quality, monitor inventory, and coordinate service operations to create a welcoming and professional atmosphere. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and responsible alcohol service in a busy hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities * Supervise daily bar operations and ensure efficient service throughout each shift. * Lead, coordinate, and support bartenders and bar support staff. * Assign duties, coordinate shift activities, and help maintain appropriate staffing levels. * Train new team members on beverage preparation, customer service, and bar procedures. * Ensure drinks are prepared consistently and presented according to established standards. * Provide friendly, professional service and help resolve guest concerns promptly. * Monitor bar inventory, track stock levels, and report supply shortages. * Assist with ordering beverages, ingredients, glassware, and other bar supplies. * Help control beverage costs, minimize waste, and maintain accurate stock records. * Ensure bar counters, equipment, storage areas, and service stations remain clean and organized. * Follow applicable alcohol service laws, age-verification requirements, and responsible service practices. * Support point-of-sale operations, cash handling, and end-of-shift reporting. * Coordinate with restaurant servers and kitchen staff to maintain smooth service. * Monitor employee performance and communicate operational concerns to management. * Help implement service improvements and maintain a positive, professional team environment. Qualifications and Skills * Previous experience in bartending, bar service, or hospitality supervision. * Prior experience leading or training bar staff is preferred. * Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills. * Knowledge of beverage preparation, bar service standards, and guest hospitality. * Understanding of inventory management, stock rotation, and beverage cost control. * Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities. * Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash-handling procedures. * Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and applicable local regulations. * Strong organizational skills and attention to cleanliness and detail. * Ability to work effectively during busy service periods. * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
