Financial Accountant

With an established finance function and a growing pipeline of projects, this is an exciting opportunity to join a successful business and gain broad exposure across financial reporting, project accounting and commercial analysis. **About the role:** Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will play an important part in supporting the day\-to\-day financial operations of the business, with a particular focus on financial reporting, month\-end and management accounting. **Key responsibilities include:** * Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports * Supporting month\-end and year\-end close processes * Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances * Managing accounts payable and receivable oversight * Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting * Supporting project and job costing across construction projects * Monitoring project financial performance and analysing costs against budget * Preparing financial analysis and reports for management * Assisting with audit and tax requirements * Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards * Supporting process improvements and wider finance projects Working within a collaborative finance team, you'll have the opportunity to gain broad exposure across both financial and management accounting while developing your understanding of the commercial side of the construction industry. **About you:** You may be a Financial Accountant looking to take the next step in your career, or an Assistant Accountant ready to broaden your experience and take on greater responsibility.
