**Intermediate Accountant | Business Services** **Salary:** $75,000 to $85,000 + superannuation + quarterly team bonus **Location:** Gold Coast | Southport or Coolangatta **Employment:** Permanent full-time **Work style:** Office-based | Nine-day fortnight | Flexible start and finish times Build your accounting career with a **nine-day fortnight** , support for your CA or CPA studies and experienced colleagues to learn from. This role combines hands-on accounting and tax work with client contact and opportunities to assist with planning and advisory matters. It suits someone with Australian public practice experience who wants to strengthen their technical skills and progress toward Senior Accountant. **The Role** Working alongside senior accountants and team leaders, responsibilities include: * Preparing financial statements, income tax returns and supporting workpapers * Completing reconciliations and assisting with BAS and IAS * Assisting with FBT and capital gains tax calculations * Supporting tax planning and business advisory work * Communicating with clients to gather information and resolve queries * Managing allocated tasks, deadlines and progress updates * Using cloud-based systems to deliver accurate, timely work **What You’ll Bring** * At least two years of Australian public practice accounting experience * A degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline * CA or CPA studies commenced, or an intention to commence * Sound foundations in accounting and Australian taxation * Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to deadlines * Clear communication skills and a professional manner with clients * Willingness to ask questions, apply feedback and contribute to the team **What’s On Offer** * $75,000 to $85,000 + superannuation * Quarterly team bonus * Nine-day fortnight for all staff * Flexible start and finish times * Southport or Coolangatta office location * Paid CA/CPA study fees and study leave * Ongoing technical training and mentoring * Development toward Senior Accountant responsibilities * Exposure to client relationships, tax planning and advisory support * Modern systems including Xero Tax, XPM, FYI Docs, ATOMate, Ignition and Dashboard Insights * Regular team events, birthday celebrations and an active people and culture committee **About Our Client** Our client is an established Gold Coast accounting and advisory practice with offices in Southport and Coolangatta.
