Accountant

**Cost Accountant** **Kirk Gross Company \| Full\-Time** Kirk Gross Company is seeking a detail\-oriented **Cost Accountant** to join our team. This position combines construction job costing with general accounting responsibilities and works closely with Accounting Team and Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely financial information. **Responsibilities** * Maintain job cost records and monitor project costs, budgets, and profitability. * Review invoices and expenses for accurate project and cost\-code allocation. * Assist with WIP reporting, project billings, change orders, and retainage. * Work with project managers to review costs, projections, and variances. * Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations. * Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. * Support month\-end and year\-end closing. * Assist with audits, reporting, and other accounting duties as needed. **Qualifications** * Accounting degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred. * Construction or job\-cost accounting experience preferred. * Strong understanding of general accounting principles. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. * Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem\-solving skills. * Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across departments. *Kirk Gross Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.* This is a full time position with full benefits including health and 401(k) plan.
