Job description from the source
**Job Summary** Our client is a growing multi-channel e-commerce business selling products through Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, other online marketplaces, and its own e-commerce website. The company is seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee inventory management, order fulfilment, shipping operations, returns processing, and warehouse team performance across its sales channels. The successful candidate will ensure that inventory is accurately managed, customer orders are processed efficiently, products are dispatched within required timelines, and warehouse activities support the company's overall sales and customer satisfaction objectives. This role requires more than traditional warehouse supervision. The ideal candidate must understand the relationship between physical inventory, online product availability, marketplace orders, shipping deadlines, and customer delivery expectations. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for establishing efficient warehouse processes, maintaining accurate stock records across connected platforms, preventing fulfilment errors, controlling operational costs, and ensuring that the warehouse can support changing order volumes across multiple sales channels. **Key Responsibilities** A. E-Commerce Order Fulfilment * Oversee the end-to-end fulfilment of orders received through Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, other online marketplaces, and the company's e-commerce website. * Ensure all orders are accurately picked, packed, labelled, and dispatched within the applicable marketplace and company deadlines. * Monitor incoming orders, pending fulfilment, processing queues, and dispatch backlogs across sales channels. * Establish clear workflows for order prioritisation, picking, packing, quality checks, and shipment confirmation. * Ensure the correct products, quantities, variants, and packaging are used for every customer order. * Identify and resolve fulfilment errors, missing items, incorrect shipments, and delayed orders. * Monitor order fulfilment performance across individual sales channels and address recurring operational issues. * Coordinate warehouse activities to accommodate fluctuations in order volumes, promotional campaigns, and seasonal demand. * Ensure accurate order status updates and shipment confirmations in the relevant systems. B. Inventory Management and Stock Synchronisation * Maintain accurate physical inventory records and ensure alignment with inventory management systems and connected sales channels. * Monitor stock levels across all sales channels to prevent overselling, avoidable cancellations, and inaccurate product availability. * Ensure inventory adjustments, product receipts, dispatched orders, returns, and damaged stock are promptly recorded. * Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventory checks, and stock reconciliation exercises. * Investigate discrepancies between physical stock, warehouse records, and marketplace inventory figures. * Maintain accurate product SKUs, barcodes, storage locations, and inventory movement records. * Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, and low-stock products to support replenishment planning. * Collaborate with procurement and purchasing teams to maintain adequate stock levels and reduce preventable stockouts. * Ensure returned, damaged, reserved, and non-sellable inventory is appropriately classified and excluded from available-to-sell stock where applicable. * Review inventory accuracy and synchronisation issues and coordinate their resolution with the relevant teams. C. Marketplace and E-Commerce Platform Operations * Oversee warehouse-related order processing activities across Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Seller Center, and the company's other sales platforms. * Work with the company's order management, inventory management, and warehouse management systems to ensure accurate order processing and stock updates. * Monitor order statuses, fulfilment queues, shipment confirmations, and inventory records across connected platforms. * Identify discrepancies between marketplace orders and warehouse inventory and resolve them promptly. * Ensure orders are processed in line with applicable marketplace fulfilment requirements and dispatch deadlines. * Coordinate with e-commerce operations personnel to resolve inventory synchronisation issues, processing errors, and order exceptions. * Maintain accurate operational records to support order tracking, inventory reconciliation, and performance reporting. * Support the implementation and improvement of standard operating procedures for multi-channel order management. * Experience with Veeqo or comparable multi-channel inventory and shipping platforms is an advantage. Familiarity with repricing tools such as Aura Repricer is also beneficial where the warehouse role requires coordination with the wider marketplace operations team. D. Shipping, Dispatch and Carrier Management * Coordinate daily dispatch activities across all sales channels, ensuring that completed orders are handed over to the appropriate carriers on time. * Generate or oversee the preparation of shipping labels, packing documentation, and tracking information through the company's designated systems. * Ensure orders are packed in accordance with product requirements and the relevant shipping service. * Coordinate with courier companies, shipping providers, and third-party logistics partners. * Monitor carrier collection schedules, dispatch cut-off times, delayed shipments, and shipping exceptions. * Ensure tracking information and shipment confirmations are accurately recorded in the appropriate systems. * Investigate lost packages, failed deliveries, shipping errors, and damaged goods. * Review shipping costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency without compromising delivery reliability. * Maintain dispatch records and provide visibility into outstanding shipments and unresolved logistics issues. E. Returns, Refunds and Reverse Logistics * Oversee the receipt, inspection, documentation, and processing of returned products from marketplace and direct website customers. * Ensure returned items are assessed and classified as resalable, damaged, defective, or non-sellable. * Update physical and digital inventory records following the processing of returned goods. * Coordinate with customer service and e-commerce teams to investigate return-related issues. * Identify recurring return reasons associated with incorrect picking, damaged products, packaging failures, or warehouse handling errors. * Ensure returned inventory is processed within agreed turnaround times. * Recommend corrective measures to reduce preventable returns, inventory losses, and customer complaints. F. Warehouse Team Management * Supervise and coordinate warehouse personnel responsible for receiving, inventory handling, picking, packing, quality checks, and dispatch. * Allocate daily responsibilities based on order volumes, staffing levels, and operational priorities. * Establish clear productivity and accuracy expectations for warehouse employees. * Monitor attendance, output, order accuracy, adherence to procedures, and overall team performance. * Train team members on warehouse systems, inventory procedures, product handling, packaging standards, and workplace safety. * Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve individual and team results. * Address performance gaps and implement appropriate corrective actions. * Promote accountability, teamwork, operational discipline, and continuous improvement. * Ensure warehouse resources are allocated effectively during high-volume periods. * G.
