Job description from the source

BrightLedger Solutions is hiring a DevOps Engineer to build, maintain and improve the cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows used by its software development teams. This role focuses on automating software releases, developing infrastructure-as-code solutions and maintaining reliable systems across development and production environments. You will work closely with software engineers and technical teams to improve deployment processes, strengthen monitoring and resolve infrastructure issues. The position also includes participation in an on-call rotation, so the ability to respond calmly and methodically to production incidents is important. The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, with additional on-call responsibilities as scheduled. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application building, testing and deployment. * Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tools. * Configure and maintain cloud environments to support software development and production workloads. * Work with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. * Automate routine infrastructure, deployment and system administration tasks through scripting. * Monitor system performance, application availability and infrastructure health. * Improve logging, alerting and monitoring processes to help teams identify problems early. * Investigate deployment failures, infrastructure errors and production incidents. * Support software releases and coordinate deployment activities with development teams. * Maintain infrastructure configurations, access controls and operational procedures. * Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to incidents according to established procedures. * Prepare and maintain technical documentation, deployment instructions and operational runbooks. * Identify recurring operational problems and develop automation or process improvements to prevent them. **What We're Looking For** * Three or more years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering or a related infrastructure role. * Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. * Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform. * Experience with containerisation technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes. * Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform. * Scripting skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell or comparable languages. * Understanding of networking, Linux systems, application deployment and cloud infrastructure. * Experience with monitoring, logging and troubleshooting production environments. * Knowledge of version control systems such as Git. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Clear written communication and technical documentation skills. * Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and manage incidents responsibly. **What We Expect** We expect careful automation, thorough runbooks and calm handling of incidents. Deployment processes should be tested before implementation, infrastructure changes should be documented and operational risks should be communicated early. The successful candidate should take responsibility for assigned systems, investigate problems methodically and keep development teams informed during service disruptions. We value engineers who understand the importance of reliable releases, accurate documentation and practical incident management. **How to Apply** Submit your résumé directly through Indeed using the **Apply Now** button.
