Java Developer

**Job Overview** We’re seeking a Java Developer to build and improve reliable applications and scalable systems. You’ll contribute across software development and web development, from software design and system design for system development to implementation and maintenance. You’ll collaborate in an Agile software development environment and work with APIs, cloud infrastructure, and IT infrastructure to deliver practical solutions. **Responsibilities** * Develop application features using Java, applying software engineering principles and design patterns. * Build and integrate RESTful APIs and other REST services; support microservices and SQL-backed applications, including MySQL. * Contribute to front-end development with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks, including React and Express. * Use version control and CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous delivery) workflows; work with Git, GitHub, or SVN. * Your impact: By designing for scalability and maintaining dependable services, you help users access consistent application experiences. **Experience** * Essential: Experience with Java, software development, APIs, SQL, version control, and Agile practices; familiarity with Linux and scalable systems. * Preferred: Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure, RBAC (role-based access control), and web development. * Additional relevant programming languages and technologies may include Ruby on Rails, C#,.NET, Python, C, C++, and VBA; these are not all required. * Experience with software design, application development, and system design is valuable. Quantum engineering is not a core requirement for this role. Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour Work Location: In person
