Civil Engineer - Professional Engineer

Big city ideas, small town service, and a team that takes real pride in the places we help build. **The Role** We're looking for a licensed Texas Professional Engineer to lead civil design projects, manage client relationships, and mentor our design staff. You'll work from our Fredericksburg office on real, local projects. **What You'll Do** - Lead civil design projects from scope through sealed plans - Prepare, review, and seal plans, reports, and calculations - Prepare scopes, fee estimates, and proposals - Design roadway, drainage, water, and wastewater improvements - Coordinate with counties, cities, FEMA, TCEQ, and TxDOT - Supervise and mentor EITs, designers, and drafters - Manage client relationships **What We're Looking For** - Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program - Active Texas PE license - 4+ years of civil engineering experience in transportation and public infrastructure - Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D (and HEC-RAS or similar) - Strong written and verbal communication skills **Pay and Benefits** - Pay based on experience - Health, dental, and vision insurance - SIMPLE IRA - Paid time off and company-paid holidays - Professional license fees, dues, and continuing education paid **How to Apply** Complete the VEI Employment Application (linked at vei-tx.com/careers) and email it, with your resume, to jobs@vei-tx.com. **Pre-employment requirements:** negative drug screen.
