**Benefits:** * Opportunity for advancement **About the Role:** The Irish American Heritage Center is looking for a dynamic and organized Events & Rentals Coordinator to join our team in Chicago, IL. In this role, you'll be the heartbeat of our venue operations — helping clients bring their visions to life while celebrating the rich culture and community spirit that defines our center. If you love people, thrive in fast-paced environments, and have a passion for event planning, we want to hear from you! **Responsibilities:** * Coordinate and manage all aspects of venue rentals, including inquiries, bookings, and client communications * Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the event planning process from initial inquiry to day-of execution * Conduct venue tours and consultations with prospective clients to showcase event spaces * Collaborate with internal staff, vendors, and caterers to ensure seamless event logistics * Maintain rental calendars, booking records, and event documentation using venue management software * Oversee event setup, breakdown, and on-site coordination to ensure client satisfaction * Support the planning and execution of in-house Heritage Center events and programming **Requirements:** * 2+ years of experience in event coordination, venue management, or hospitality * Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail * Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with event or venue management software * Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as events require * Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team * Passion for cultural programming, community engagement, or Irish heritage is a plus **About Us:** The Irish American Heritage Center is one of the largest Irish cultural centers in the United States, proudly serving the Chicago community for decades.
