Purchasing Manager

**Overview** As a Purchasing Manager, you’ll guide procurement from sourcing and supplier selection through contract management and delivery. You’ll balance cost, quality, compliance, and supply continuity while partnering across teams to keep projects and operations moving. Your impact: Strong supplier decisions help internal teams secure the materials and services they need to serve customers reliably. **Responsibilities** * Lead procurement management, strategic sourcing, purchasing, and category management across assigned goods and services. * Manage supplier relationships, vendor contracts, pricing, contract negotiation, and procurement contract management. * Coordinate with finance, operations, project teams, and other partners on requirements, timelines, and supply chain priorities. * Use enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP or Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), and e-procurement tools to support materials requirements planning (MRP), logistics, and materials management. * Apply procurement regulatory knowledge, including public sector purchasing requirements where applicable; use root cause analysis and quality management practices to address issues. **Requirements** * Experience in purchasing, procurement, supplier management, supply chain management, or a related field. * Demonstrated skills in contract management, vendor contract management, procurement contract negotiation, direct negotiation, and supplier negotiations. * Knowledge of procurement processes, contracts, sourcing, pricing, category management, logistics, and supply chain operations. * Experience with ERP systems; SAP or Oracle EBS experience is preferred. Familiarity with MRP and e-procurement systems is an asset. * Strong project management, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis; public sector purchasing experience and procurement regulatory knowledge are preferred.
