Medical Assistant

**Job Overview** As a Medical Assistant, you’ll help patients and clinical teams move through each visit with confidence and care. You’ll support patient intake, collect vital signs, assist with clinical procedures, and keep medical records accurate and organized. Your impact: By combining attentive patient care with reliable documentation, you help clinicians make informed decisions and patients feel supported. **Responsibilities** * Welcome patients, gather intake information, measure vital signs, and update electronic health records (EHR) and other medical records. * Assist with phlebotomy, medication administration, and other duties within your training and applicable requirements. * Prepare exam areas, support patient care, and communicate relevant information to the clinical team. * Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling, medical documentation, and records management. * Apply medical terminology, anatomy and physiology knowledge, pharmacology basics, and ICD coding practices as appropriate to assigned duties. **Experience** * Medical assisting, patient service, medical office experience, or clinic experience is valuable; experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is preferred. * Basic life support certification may be required for the role; follow applicable clinical protocols and scope-of-practice requirements. * Experience in dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, geriatrics, or outpatient settings is helpful. * Hospital, inpatient, Level I or Level II trauma center, PICU, or OR experience is a plus, not a requirement. * Familiarity with medical office management and accurate, confidential recordkeeping is beneficial.
