Job description from the source

**Step Into the Work** ---------------------- Imagine starting your day reviewing a fresh concept for a mechanical subsystem. You open your preferred CAD platform, iterate on a geometry, and run a quick simulation to verify form, fit, and function. By mid-morning, you’re in a cross-functional huddle with manufacturing and product stakeholders, weighing feasibility and cost. The afternoon brings deeper analysis to validate performance and a round of documentation to capture decisions and revisions. Along the way, you lend a hand troubleshooting an existing product and share a new industry insight with the team. That’s a typical day here—creative, technical, and collaborative. **What You’ll Do** ------------------ * Design, develop, and test mechanical systems and components that meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability goals. * Partner closely with cross-functional teammates to drive successful outcomes from concept through release. * Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to guide smart tradeoffs and de-risk initiatives. * Create detailed engineering drawings and models using CAD tools; manage revisions and tolerances. * Run simulations and analyses (including CFD where applicable) to verify and optimize designs. * Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for in-market products. * Document engineering processes, decisions, and test results; maintain accurate project records. * Stay current with emerging methods, tools, and standards in mechanical engineering. **What You Bring** ------------------ * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. * 2+ years of experience in mechanical design and development. * Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and configuration control. * Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. * Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. * Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations. * Ability to balance multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines. **Extra Strengths** ------------------- * Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) * Product design and development experience * Background in aerospace manufacturing environments **Tools You’ll Use** -------------------- * CAD software
